Optimal Pregnancy Outcome
Plan
(OPOP)
The
Optimal Pregnancy Outcome Program (OPOP) is a pregnancy education
program designed to empower pregnant women to make informed healthy
lifestyle choices for healthy babies. The pregnant woman is seen
monthly by a nurse, nutritionist, and a social worker. Education on
topics such as breastfeeding, smoking cessation, healthy eating,
parenting, and fetal development are provided. Women are linked to
community resources for health, social and emotional issues. This
program is designed as an addition, not a substitute for regular
doctor visits. Services are available to women at no charge.
